Juergen is MD of Warakeel Pty Ltd – a corporate member of GABA since 2001 and a friend of GABA since the late 1980s. Past Vice President & A / P, now a Committee member.
With more than 30 years industrial engineering experience in international trade, Juergen has held positions in business development, consulting, standards & QA, and management.
Since 1995 Juergen has conducted his own consulting business working both on a consultative basis, as well as having a number of sub-contractors working for him. His company has completed projects for multi-national companies, Department of Defence, and medium sized enterprises, and covers technical engineering, business coaching, and training.
On invitation, Juergen has held senior positions in defence business networks, small business consultative committees, and professional bodies in Australia, as well as conducting lectures and tutorials to third year QUT mechanical and manufacturing engineering students.
John Kahlert has fifty years experience working in the electrical industry. He is a foundation and honorary life member of GABA and has held all positions in the management Committee since the beginning of GABA.
John has also been actively involved in other German, multicultural and community organizations. He is the Queensland representative of the German Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.
Juergen Hoppe is the director of Hoppe Consult, a company providing IT-ERP, project managerial expertise and management consultancy. Before his own company was established, Juergen was employed with Siemens, Germany’s leading multinational electrical and electronics company, for nearly 30 years in senior managerial, commercial, financial and project management roles, and locations in various countries all around the globe.
Hoppe Consult is a corporate member of GABA.
Gerda Wittenberg, together with her late husband Juergen Wittenberg (former President of GABA) and a number of present day GABA members founded GABA in 1982.
Gerda has been an active member of GABA. Since 2006, she is on the GABA committe as the treasurer.
Gabi Zoulek has been a GABA member since 1995, and has acted on the GABA committee in various positions during some of those years. Gabi is a professional web developer. In 2005, she developed the GABA website and GABA database.
