Herzlich willkommen, welcome to the German Australian Business Association!

GABA was created to strengthen business ties between Australia and Germany as well as assist the German-speaking business community in Brisbane with growth opportunities.  This was our brief in 1983.

Since then the German-speaking population of Brisbane has expanded.  And so has our brief.

Today, GABA works closely with the German Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Sydney, other international business organisations in Brisbane, Queensland State Government and Brisbane City Council.  We continue to foster South East Queensland-based business growth with Germany and between locally based businesses.

We do this by providing a strategic networking forum for members, an array of knowledge sharing events that are truly unique and when it’s time, really fun social and cultural events.  Our 2015 strategy and calendar looks very promising!

Whether you’re a small or medium business owner or a German speaking executive of a large company based in the greater Brisbane area, GABA embodies a warm and welcoming environment to all.  Here’s where you’ll meet colleagues, experts and peers to share conversation and business insights.

We’d like to be measured by our membership.  Ours is a diverse cross-section of the local German-Australian business community with members from SMEs to global enterprises.  And it’s this diversity that creates GABA’s own cultural fabric.

This ‘fabric’ has created a sense of community, a community of members that appreciate connecting with like-minded professionals, sharing deeper insights and finding support in unexpected ways.
