A message from the President!
Dear present & future Members / Friends of GABA,
GABA was formed 35 years ago to strengthen the links between Australia and Germany as well as to build contact within Brisbane and beyond to form a wider Network Group with like minded people and crate new friendships, young and old.
To memorise this moment, we have organised the celebrations at Blackbird Restaurant which has become one of Brisbane most iconic places not only with a great view over the Story Bridge and the River on door step but more importantly great food and plenty of atmosphere, the Blackbird also has a few other well-known places around town and the latest one to be opened in July “Donna Chang” which is on the corner of George and Elizabeth Street have donated a dinner voucher for our raffle.
I would like to invite you to be part of this celebration with Guest speaker Adrian Schrinner the Deputy Mayor of Brisbane who will be talking about his journey and the future development within Brisbane followed by Mathew Bourke who take the honour of GABA members past and present.
There is lots happening and you should not miss out on this opportunity …. Seats are limited to 80 only.

21 March is Harmony Day 🌏
Harmony Day is a day to celebrate Australian multiculturalism, based on the successful integration of migrants into our community.
Australia is the most successful multicultural country on earth & we should celebrate this and work to maintain it.
Harmony Day is about inclusiveness, respect & belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background, united by a set of core Australian values.
GABA's first objective and role is as follows:
1. To provide information, trade opportunities and trade contacts for or between persons and corporations in Australia and Germany. The regional focus of GABA is the State of Queensland and in particular the South-Eastern corner of the state and the greater Brisbane region.
By continually networking, we are proud to be proactively connecting Germany with Australia. ... See MoreSee Less

Last night's GABA July networking meeting at the Marriott was delightful. Amongst the twenty attendees we saw a few new faces. A warm welcome to those new to our group of business professionals and an equally warm welcome to those members who attend these meetings already for a couple of years. ... See MoreSee Less
